(Nov. 14th, 2003) Ron Hornaday will run in the last ever NASCAR Winston Cup event this weekend at Homestead Miami Speedway, in the RCR/Childress Vineyards #90 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Hornaday took the car out for qualifying and pulled off a 30.495 sec. lap time at 177.078 mph, bringing a 28th starting spot for the #90, and Hornaday, who's last

Winston Cup race was at PIR last year in the #83 Fitz-Bradshaw machine. In 2001,  Hornaday made 32 Winston Cup starts for A.J. Foyt's team in the #14.

"I like the new track" commented Hornaday. "When I first went around it, it was like running up a solid black wall, but slowly you can find your line and where your car will run."  The new track has a lot of teams scrambling for proper setups and are concentrating on tire wear.  The new surface is liked by most and looks to provide a great race come race-day.
