Mooresville,
NC
(May
8th,
2007)
– Ron
Hornaday
is no
sit
at
home
on
the
coach
kind
of a
guy,
no-way,
he is
a
racer!
So
what
does
he do
with
weeks
off
at a
time
during
the
NASCAR
Craftsman
Truck
Series...
More
than
likely,
you
will
find
Ron
Hornaday
at
one
track
or
another,
whether
it be
asphalt
or
dirt...
Testing

"I'm
not
slated
to
run
the
car,
Kevin
is,
but
this
is a
chance
for
Wally
Rodgers
and I
to
work
together
and
have
things
set
up
for,
Kevin."
commented
Hornaday.
Asphalt
is
where
Hornaday
has
made
his
name,
but
it's
the
dirt
that
gave
Hornaday
his
start,
while
racing
Motorcycles
on
the
West
Coast.
Now,
he's
teaming
up
with
the
next
generation
of
Hornaday
Racers...
Hornaday's
only
grandson,
Slater,
has
been
tearing
up
the
MX
tracks
on
the
East
Coast,
and
Ron
(Pappy)
has
been
by
his
side
the
past
few
events.
"It's
like
reliving
my
youth
through
the
eyes
of my
grandson,
Slater.
The
memories
of
riding
with
Fly'n
Mike
Brown,
and
racing
the
dirt
of
Bakersfield,
Ca,
come
right
back,
and
I'm
having
a
blast!"
Hornaday
has 3
lovely
granddaughters,
Lacey,
Viktoria,
and
Lily,
who
do
there
best
to
cheer
Slater
on,
while
also
spending
time
with
their
Pappy.
"The
girls
are
great,
they
bring
me so
much
joy,
I
just
can't
get
enough
hugs!"
Hornaday's
next
race
in
the
NASCAR
Craftsman
Truck
Series
is,
May
18th,
at
