2 Time Truck Series Champ, Ron Hornaday Takes On Homestead

November 14th, 2002 - Ron Hornaday will pull Double Duty this weekend at Homestead - Miami Speedway, running in the Craftsman Truck and Busch Series events.

Hornaday will run the #11 IWX Motor Freight Chevrolet Craftsman truck, making this is second CTS event of 2002, and his Busch Series #26 Dr Pepper Chevrolet Monte Carlo, which will be his last run with the Carroll 

Racing Team. Hornaday moves to RCR in 2003 and will drive the #2 AC Delco Chevrolet in the Busch Series. 

The two time truck series champ will start 5th in the Ford 200, Craftsman Truck event. "This is one of Mike Bliss' back up trucks." stated Hornaday, who has been looking forward to this run all week. "I love these trucks, and I am happy to be here. These guys have top equipment and Mike's going for the Championship, it's great to be a part of it."

Hornaday, the 2000 NASCAR Busch Series Most Popular Driver will start 22nd  with his Dr Pepper Chevrolet, in the Ford 300 Busch Series event. "This is tough, the last run for a team that has done so much for me.  Dave Carroll has been great to work for and so has this whole Dr Pepper Team." commented Hornaday. "If I could give these guys a win on the way out, that would be how I would want it to end. We have a good car here today and we'll give it all we got !"
