March 3rd, 2002 - Ron Hornaday and the Hendrick Motorsports Chevy are preparing to take the track they say is to tough to tame, Darlington Raceway.

Hornaday is no stranger to Darlington. Ron took the Busch Series DEI. Chevrolet to an 8th place finish after starting 25th, back in 2000. "I've run well at Darlington, I've also had my share of bad luck there", commented Hornaday. "I have a good feeling about this team and  the Wolverine Chevrolet.

Hornaday's return to the truck series at Daytona found him on the front row to take the green. With-in the first 25 laps, Ron brought the Hendrick Motorsports machine in-to the pits. As Ron was entering his pit stall, he was broad-sided by John Wood, which did minor damage to the left side of the #24 Chevrolet, and major damage to Ron's chances for a win.

The truck series teams will take the track for practice from 11:20 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, with qualifying at 3:00 pm eastern time. The teams will get a "Happy Hour" after qualifying from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
