on the west
coast, finds
Bristol
Motor
Speedway to
be a place
with his
kind of
racing.
“Of all
the tracks
we go to,
Bristol
ranks as one
of my
favorite
tracks It's
like racing
the old
tracks back
home, Saugus
and Mesa
Marin to
name a
couple.
Close, tight
racin, I
love
it",
Hornaday
said.
'I’ve had
a lot of
success at
this track,
and now I am
with a
multi-car-team,
and it
helps."

the early
a.m.
practice,
Hornaday and
the Hendrick
#5 Monte
Carlo were
9th quick,
running a

to winning
at Bristol
is
surviving,

you have to
qualify
well.
Ron
and the

Chevrolet
were 25th to
hit the .533
mile oval,
and ran a

m.p.h. which
would place
the Hendrick
Motorsports

the 11th
starting
position,
for this
Saturdays Channellock
250.
"I
am looking
forward to
this
race",
Hornaday
said,
"It's
fast and
intense. It
can be a lot
of fun, if
your car is
handling
right, if
its not,
you’re
going to get
lapped
quick, and
be in for a
very long
day.”
Ron
Hornaday is
43rd in
Busch Series
Driver
Points, with
a total of
118 after
entering

Darlington,
where he
placed 15th
after
