Hornaday to Race in Weekend Marathon

Concord, NC (May 16th) ­ By the time this 
weekend is over, Ron Hornaday hopes to  have survived 116 laps between the
Winston Open and the Winston at Loweıs Motor Speedway on Saturday and 200 laps 
at the Nazareth Speedway for the Busch Series race on Sunday.

This is not the first time Hornaday has had 
to pull double driving duties between a 

NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR  Winston Cup Series event.  Last year, 
he competed in 8 races for the No. 11 Busch Series team, while still competing 
full time for AJ Foyt Racingıs No. 14 Winston Cup team.  Hornaday will fill in for 
Shawna Robinson in this weekendıs Winston Open and the Coca Cola Family 600 next weekend.

Since the Atlanta race in March, Hornaday has been working with the BAM
Racing team in a consultant role.  ³I hope that I can help them grow as a
team.  They have a lot of talent over here and I just want to see them be
successful and competitive.²

Hornaday brings more than 22 years of racing experience to the BAM Racing
team, including two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championships, 
18-top-10 finishes and two career Busch Series wins, and one full season on 
NASCARıs elite Winston Cup Series.

Hornaday hopes to give the BAM Racing team a good showing under the lights
of Loweıs Motor Speedway for the Winston Open.  Bud Pole qualifying will
begin Friday, May 17th at 7:05 p.m. EST.  The green flag drops on the
Winston Open at 7:30 p.m. EST, Saturday, May 18th.  The event will be
televised live on FX and broadcast live on MRN radio starting at 7:00 p.m.
EST.
