Concord, NC (May 21, 2002) This  weekend the NASCAR Winston Cup
Series heads to the mile and a half track nestled in the heart of racingšs home in
Charlotte, for the Coca Cola 600 at Lowešs Motor Speedway.

Ron Hornaday is in his second race with the BAM Racing team.   Hornaday and

the No. 49 Dodge team are prepared for the longest race of the 2002 season
this weekend.  They also feel what they learned about the cars set-up in the
Winston Open will aid them to be more competitive in the Coca Cola Family 600.

Many peaks and valleys have gone into the record books for the BAM Racing
Dodge team this season, but they are getting closer to the top.  After their
performance in the Winston Open, the team has high hopes to reach the
summit theyšve set their sights on being competitive week in and week out.

As far as Hornaday is concerned, everything is a team effort.  The stage is
set and it is just a matter of time until the BAM Racing Dodge team finally
reaches their peak being competitive in the Winston Cup Series.

Hornaday understands the importance of a good starting spot and feels
confident the No. 49 BAM Racing Dodge team will yield another good
qualifying effort this weekend in Charlotte.

ŗAnytime wešre able to qualify in the top-20 it adds confidence to the team.
A good starting spot is always important, especially since the competition
in the Winston Cup Series is so tough.

Bud Pole qualifying for the Coca Cola Family 600 will take place on Thursday,
May 23rd at 7:05 p.m. EST.  The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. EST on Sunday,
May 26th.  FOX and MRN radio are scheduled to broadcast the race live.
