May 20th - Ron Hornaday ran a double duty week-end, running the Winton Open in Charlotte North Carolina , and the Stacker 200 Busch Series event in Nazareth Pennsylvania.

Hornaday defiantly got frequent flyer miles, but no frequent seat time at all, in either car.

Hornaday finished 12th in the Winston Open / No Bull Sprint.

"Running the Winston has always been a dream of mine". Hornaday said. "I have to thank Dave Carroll for giving me the chance to continue to work with BAM Racing's Cup program.  I have been working with Beth and Tony's team to help Shawna for a while now. When the Cup cars are running the same track as the Busch Series, I am at the garage and there to help. They are a new team with a rookie driver and I will do all I can to help improve their program.  Shawna is a talented driver, and the team works well together, we are just trying to find the communication and set ups.  They have a strong engine program, and that 49 car is fast. I didn't have much time to drive the car before we took the green, and we qualified 8th quick. Near the end of the No Bull Sprint, the car was really loose and there is no need to ruin equipment, so we took 12th." Hornaday continued, "We will have some track time this week and I feel we will have some-thing to show for the 600."

Ron Hornaday brought home a seasons best to Carroll Racing, and himself finishing 3rd in the Stacker 200.

The Dr Pepper Racing Chevrolet took the green from the 26th starting position, after qualifying was rained-out and the field was forced to start by points. Thought it didn't take long for Hornaday to bring the Carroll Racing Machine to the front at Nazareth Speedway. The 'Master of The Restarts" was in action and was up to 11th by the first pit stop on lap 63 of 200. Great work shown by the crew had the #26 back out in the 12th position.

Ron Hornaday is no stranger to Nazareth Speedway, with two career victories at the track, including one in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and one in the Busch Series. Hornaday would pick up 5 bonus points for leading before bringing in the Dr Pepper Monte Carlo for service during the last caution of the day.  Once again a great pit stop had Hornaday back out quick and sitting in the third spot, and a challenge to re-take the lead.

Hornaday maintained the 3rd position and finished so, in his second time out with the Carroll / Dr Pepper Racing Organization.

"I have to thank Dave Carroll and Todd Lohse. For these guys to have the confidence in me, to get in a car with no lap time is great". said Hornaday. I really have to thank Andy Santerre for helping out. What he did for me and this Dr Pepper Team is simply awesome. They had the Dr Pepper Chevrolet running great." Hornaday also stated, "I have an agreement with Carroll Racing, and working to build the program with Dr Pepper Racing.  It is great working with this team, and I look forward to what is to come."

The next events for Hornaday are at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte North Carolina this week-end, where once again Hornaday will be pulling double duty in both the Winston Cup and Busch Series'.
