Hornaday Back In The Action With Carroll Racing and Dr Pepper
June 2nd - He has had his up's and down's this 2002 season, but Ron Hornaday says with the way things are right now, things will keep going up.

Hornaday finished 6th this past weekend at Dover after starting 18th. The week before he got the fast time at Charlotte, only to be taken out during a mid-race crash, placing

33rd. The #26 Dr Pepper Chevrolet had only seen a best 14th place finish this season, until Hornaday took over the ride, and since has had the pole, and two top 10 finishes, including 3rd at Nazareth. "We show that we have a top 10 car every week, give us time and you'll see us in victory lane" commented the 2000 Busch Series Most Popular Driver.

"I had a long time fan give me a special good luck charm for my birthday at Dover", stated Hornaday, "She honored me with her dogtags from her stay in the Army. She let me know that they kept her safe and wanted to give them to me to keep me safe. It's one of the most special presents that I have ever received and I put them in the car with me before we ran the race". Hornaday continued, " After the race the team ask if they could put them in the racecar each week and I told them that I had already planned to, because they came from such a Special Lady".

Ron Hornaday and the Dr Pepper Team will next hit Nashville Speedway for the Nashville 250 Busch Series event.
