Hornaday Looking Forward To Day Two Of The Kroger 300
June 16th - Ron Hornaday logged in the top ten for 36 of 84 laps in the Kroger 300 at Kentucky Speedway, which will continue today (Sunday), after a down pour caused a rain delay Saturday night.

"We are a little snug right now, I have never been to this track and we showed up here with last years set up.  Before qualifying we went over to my friend Jack Sprague and

picked up some notes, but we run a different spindle then he does, so we are a little tight in the middle. This track is really smooth, it's one of those tracks where you can really ark the car and get the nose planted and come off the corner. We've pulled spring rubbers out, wedge out, and made some air pressure adjustments."  Hornaday continued, "  We are shooting for a top ten, and I tell you these guys deserve it. This team gives it 110% and this Dr Pepper Chevrolet is a great car and shows to be a top ten car every week.  Unfortunately I wrecked the car last week, so we are looking for a good finish and pick up some points."

Hornaday had just made a pit stop when the yellow came out due to rain. "Weather is a factor, but I think we have a car to contend with." stated Hornaday who has again proven he is the Master of Restarts, when he was in 7th and moved up to 2nd with-in a half a lap during the restart after an early caution. "They were all bottled up at the restart so I shot to the outside and got some track position and that helped us, and this crew does a heck of a job in the pits, so we will look for the same today."

The race has been rescheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET today (Sunday) and will be taped and aired on FX at 5:30 pm ET.
