Ron
Hornaday
quickly
admits it
would be
easy to
get
tangled up
in all the
hype of
Indianapolis
Motor
Speedway.
The
track's
history
speaks for
itself but
Hornaday
ranks the
track high
on his
favorite
list
because he
enjoys the
fast,
challenging
turns at
the
Brickyard.
Hornaday's
debut at
Indy last
season
resulted
in a 28th
place
start and
a 34th
place
finish.

The
BAM Racing
team
recently
tested at
the
Brickyard
and will
bring back
a car that
was built
specifically
for the
track
itself.
BAM Racing
has
battled
its share
of bad
luck this
season but
is
confident
this
weekend
will yield
success.
According
to
Hornaday,
"The
track is
very
unique and
demanding
because we
reach such
high
speeds and
the
corners
have
little
banking
considering
it is a
2.5 mile
track.
I think
all of the
drivers
enjoy
racing at
Indy
because it
has so
much
history.
Last year
was my
first time
racing at
the
Brickyard
and it was
such a
great
feeling
standing
on the
track
before the
race
started.
The fans
are great
and I'm
looking
forward to
a good
finish
this
weekend."
It will be
a busy
weekend
for the
BAM Racing
diver Ron
Hornaday.
Hečll be
driving
double
duty at
Indianapolis
Raceway
Park on
Saturday
night for
the NASCAR
Busch
Series
event.
Then,
he'll
drive back
to the
Brickyard
for
Sunday's
Brickyard
400.
Bud Pole
Qualifying
for the
event will
begin at
11:00 a.m.
EST on
Saturday,
August
3rd.
The green
flag will
drop at
1:30 p.m.
EST on
Sunday,
August 4th
for the
Brickyard
400.
The event
will be
televised
live on
NBC and
broadcast
live on
MRN Radio. |
