NASCAR Celebrity Grudge Match, Robinson Beats Hornaday
CONCORD, N.C - NASCAR Winston Cup driver Shawna Robinson, radio personality Mr. Bill and Michael Van Wingerden shared the spotlight as 205 race cars and eight brightly colored school buses jammed the pit area for opening night of the 10-week OdoBan Summer Shootout Series Tuesday at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Robinson, driver of the No. 49 BAM Racing Dodge in Winston Cup competition, claimed bragging rights in the NASCAR Celebrity Grudge Match, beating Ron Hornaday, driver of the No. 26 Dr. Pepper Chevrolet in the Busch Series, in a best two-out-of-three showdown.

Kathy Douglas of Concord and John Monden Jr. of Stinnett, Texas, were the lucky fans selected to ride along in the three, three-lap Grudge Match races. Douglas rode beside Robinson in the winning Winston Cup-style convertible while Monden enjoyed the view from Hornaday's machine.
